Healthy Creamy Pasta with Vegtables
Ingredients:
Whole wheat penne
4oz of Light Rondulee (cream cheese spread) garlic herb flavor
1 bunch asparagus
1/2 cup finely chopped fresh spinach
1 red pepper
garlic powder, salt, and pepper to taste
olive oil
milk or the water from the pasta
Cook penne according to package directions. Chop pepper and aspargus into bite size pieces. (I use mostly just the tips of the asparagus because they are more tender but you can use it all if you want.) Satuee asparagus in olive oil for 2 minutes, add red pepper and satuee for 5 minutes or until tender crisp. Add seasoning. Drain pasta and add to vegetables, add spinach and Rondulee. Stir together to melt Rondulee, add a small amount of milk or water from cooking the pasta until desired consistancy of sauce. This is very tasty and very good for you!
Hey. I'm not ignoring you. I'm having trouble with replying. I know...operator error. Anyway, I would like to keep this simple. Tabs for food type categories, not breakfast, lunch, dinner. Don't know how to make the techy stuff, but do know more people will use it if it's kept simple. AND...anyone printing has to highlight just the recipe and then print, otherwise you get the whole page, including all the random photos.
Why is this print so small??
Angie posted this thread to test an input form, I think. Meaning as a way or structure to submit a Recipe. I could be wrong, but to see what you and Chris and whomever to say about that input.
I'm not sure it has to be structured, but I'm sure it will help. :) So this is kinda why I bumped this thread, to help Angie get input on the format of a Recipe. It helps me in a way for implementation.
I believe we covered the idea of food type categories over on the other thread: http://www.molimbocafe.com/content/recipes#comment-20
Please see that thread and my last reply. Please respond with input there regarding how you might want to see our setup of Recipes to be.
To be fair -- one person's simple is not every person' simple.
Could you explain on the following below?

As for

As for this, I'm assuming you mean when composing your reply here?
To get maximum participation, my suggestion is to make this as easy as possible. In other words, just being able to type in the recipe using the word format we are using on the rest of the site would be easiest (like Ang's example). I think Ang, mom and I all do that with recipes (type them loosely). "Here's what you need, here's what you do" and we like to add in our own comments along the way to make it more personal and fun (i.e. YUMMY and FOR BIG BUTTS VERSION etc).
So honestly, Cdog, the way it will layout in the end is less important to me (and I'm assuming the rest of the chefs) than the simplicity of adding in a recipe in the first place. Make sense? That being said, would also be nice to have a recipe page with categories (which we can still discuss) then a link with each recipe title that would just pull it right up.
Thoughts? Still considering all the categories--not sure if we should go super simple (meat veggie dessert etc) or more detailed (poultry, fish, beef, soups, salads, veggies etc). I think I am leaning toward the latter since I love to categorize things, but I also don't want to have to search everywhere for a recipe before I find it. Any way to add a search box on the recipe page? Or we can list them alphabetically?
Chew on that for awhile. Oh man I crack myself up.

I guess I'll use this as a Recipe layout???
Chris, mom, other than Angie???
