I thought I would make a special breakfast for the girls this morning for something different.  It took a while but I made them vanilla french toast.  I cut it into little triangles and gave them syrup in little bowls to dip it into.  I was all proud of my effort to make a breakfast treat for them and was waiting for the "thanks mom" and "mmm this is yummy!".  However, what actually happened was they drank the syrup straight then cried for "regular" toast.  Lesson learned, simple is better even when it comes to treats.  Snausage and I enjoyed the french toast.
